Cargo terminal

Since 1998 we have been operating what is currently the largest cargo terminal in the Prague Ruzyne Airport, with a capacity of up to 100,000 tons of handled air cargo per year. This building is fully comparable with current world terminals due to its modern technology, mechanisation and safety system. The technical specifications of the cargo terminal, with its own perfectly lighted handling area allows for high quality and smooth handling of all types of aircraft from Fairchild Metro up to Antonov 124. The whole terminal consists of two parts – an administration building and an air cargo handling building. The administration building has four floors with a total of 5,000 m2 of office space, which ensures sufficient space for forwarding, air and logistic companies. The building for air cargo handling is 11 metres high and offers approximately 10,000 m2 of operation and warehouse spaces. Specially prepared spaces for handling valuable consignments, dangerous or radioactive consignments, live animals, frozen goods and perishable goods are available, as well as other offices in the two-floor extensions. There are 13 ramps with equalizing platforms, 1 ramp with a special lifting platform for container handling and 4 ramps with a direct approach road to the airport area. Lighting and 7 entry gates are installed in the access area for trucks. Simultaneous handling of one wide-body and one narrow-body aircraft or three narrow-body aircraft standing on marked parking stands is possible.
